A wide-width conveyor belt vulcanizer is mainly composed of the following parts:
- Heating System: Usually uses electric heating plates made of aluminum alloy. The heating wires inside the heating plates are evenly distributed to ensure a uniform temperature on the upper and lower surfaces of the vulcanization plates. It can quickly heat up to the temperature range required for rubber vulcanization, typically around 140 - 160°C.
- Pressurization System: Generally employs a hydraulic system, with hydraulic cylinders providing sufficient pressure to tightly press the upper and lower vulcanization plates together. The pressure can be adjusted according to factors such as the material and thickness of the conveyor belt, generally within the range of 0.8 - 1.5 MPa.
- Control System: It is equipped with a digital display control panel, which can set parameters such as temperature and time. It also has an over-temperature alarm function and can ensure the stability of the vulcanization process with a temperature control accuracy of around ±2°C.
- Frame Structure: Made of high-strength materials to ensure the stability and reliability of the equipment during operation. It supports the heating plates and the pressurization system and can withstand high temperatures and pressures.
In the vulcanization process, the wide-width conveyor belt vulcanizer first clamps the joint of the conveyor belt that needs to be vulcanized between the heating plates. Then, the heating system raises the temperature to the set value, and the pressurization system applies appropriate pressure. Under the combined action of heat and pressure, the rubber molecules at the joint of the conveyor belt undergo cross-linking reactions, closely integrating the unvulcanized core rubber and surface rubber with the rubber of the conveyor belt body. This forms a firm joint, and after the vulcanization is completed, the equipment is cooled and the conveyor belt joint is taken out.
This kind of vulcanizer is widely used in metallurgy, mining, power plants, ports, building materials, chemical and other industries. It is suitable for the vulcanization and repair of various wide conveyor belts, such as EP conveyor belts, rubber conveyor belts, nylon conveyor belts and steel cord conveyor belts.
